Utility Box Inspection
Producing on Both Grids
Electrical Co-Op Signed Off
After getting delayed due to the batteries not being hooked up on their previous visit, the co-op folks came out again to inspect the system. This involved using a fancy pole tool thing to stab into the transformer and simulate an outage. They wanted to ensure that the battery backup bank didn't push power back on the lines. Reasonable request. This passed as expected, as the installer had simulated this prior to their arrival.
So, finally* -- my system can produce power and I can get paid for it! When I can prove that it's producing, I can finish sending in my grant paperwork and secure grant funds!
*it seemed like a long process but in reality... I mean, it wasn't bad at all
